Total Fixed Internet Broadband Subscribers of Three Major Carriers Hit 578 Million

According to the statistics of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), the three major carriers in China have a total of 578 million fixed Internet broadband subscribers by the end of September, a net increase of 42.57 million over the end of last year.
Among the 578 million subscribers, 542 million (93.8%) enjoy an access rate of 100 Mbps or above, 0.8 percentage points higher than the end of last year; and 76.03 million (13.1%) enjoy an access rate of 1000 Mbps or above, a net increase of 41.45 million subscribers over the end of last year.
