At around 4am on December 28, 2023, the CBN officially connected to the Internet backbone networks of three major telecommunications operators, including China Telecom, China Mobile, and China Unicom, at the Shanghai direct connection point, achieving peer-to-peer direct connection and interconnection.
CBNET is an important component of the national cultural private network, which was officially launched and put into operation on June 30 last year. This interconnection with the internet backbone networks of the three major telecommunications operators will further enhance the integrated development and user experience of cable TV, broadcasting broadband, and broadcasting 5G services, promote the integration of fixed and mobile broadcasting networks, and jointly build a cloud network collaborative ecosystem, This marks new progress for CBN in implementing the national cultural digitalization strategy, and new achievements in the integration of cable television networks and the integrated development of 5G construction in radio and television across the country.
