Recently, the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology released the "Analysis Report on China's Third-Party Data Center Service Providers (2023)". The report shows that in 2022, the scale of data center racks in China steadily increased, with a total of over 6.5 million standard racks in use. The revenue of the data center business market reached approximately 190 billion yuan, with a compound annual growth rate of 27.2% over the past three years.
Among them, the market share of third-party data center service providers has been growing rapidly, surpassing the basic telecommunications operators for the first time. The report indicates that in 2022, basic telecommunications operators accounted for 48.32% of the market share, with China Telecom accounting for 19.27%, China Mobile accounting for 14.70%, and China Unicom accounting for 14.35%. The market share of third-party data center service providers was 51.68%, representing an increase of 1.81 percentage points compared to the previous year.
